Speedrunner, love to go fast
There also seems to be this weird barrier between 'speedrunners' and others.

Like so many people have this thought process of "you have to play at this super high level to be a speedrunner and I could never do that"

I still think that barrier is as big as it's ever been.

I think it would encourage more people to do and submit runs that otherwise wouldn't. Would love to see more games filled with submissions of varying skill levels.

And also for existing runners to learn other games (i.e. get expert achievement in a bunch of games would be fun)

This one did actually genuinely hurt me though, so I'm thankful for the amazing group of people we have at ASM, that really helped me not get dragged down too low.

Much love to you all, the real ones ❤️

Thankfully, the community around ASM is amazing and all of this kind of rubbish is reserved for people online who have never met me.

I think anyone who has met me or spent any amount of time with me would know the 'narrative' some of these people create about me couldn't be further from the truth.

I can't say whether this is coming from someone trying to be the good guy calling out the bad eggs, or whether it's just trying to tear someone down. I legitimately don't know.

What I do know, is that in this instance, you are the bad guy. One where I hope you re-evaluate, because it's *really* bad

I get I'm not everyone's favourite person, but the amount of total bullshit that gets made up by folks online is crazy.

I can't call it all out, but when you start twisting some of the worst shit that's ever been done to me as if *I'm* unacceptable as a result, you are being so hateful it's fucked.

For transparency, everyone at this point knows the first happened - and then as soon as I was told that wasn't ok regardless of the fact that it wasn't my own words and that I was reading a comment, I apologised and never did so again.

This is how we learn, you simply must allow people to learn.

This is without going into the tirade of shit I dealt with after someone tried to deliberately tear me down with entirely false stories, stories that I took months of painstaking effort to prove to be entire fiction, with extra effort to not attack their character.

Oh I'm the bad guy there too?

Don't undersell the underlying value of the numbers of the years themselves. 1995 - 2005 is easy to internally feel just on numbers.

Even pre millennia, being able to distinguish between the "80s" and "90s" was easy for people. But 2000 - 2020 not having commonly used terms hurts in this regard.
