Pittsburgh Public Schools increased the number of COVID compensatory service hours delivered to students with disabilities by 42% from May to September 2025. But that's still only 10% of the total hours agreed owed to students.
PPS students lost 600K hours of disability services during COVID. Only 10% have been made up.
Pittsburgh Public Schools has provided more than 62,000 hours to students as of early October, or just over 10% of the total hours the district is obligated to provide.
