I look forward to it! Your research is always so through, I am in awe. (And I loved seeing some of those old strips - hadn’t thought about Ivy’s Favourite Nightmares in decades!)

This is incredible, a truly stunning job, wonderfully thorough. Lots here I had no idea about. Thank you so much!

Very kind of you.. Ivy the Terrible was my favourite as a kid and would certainly love to read more about her.

A great year for the blog! I’ve greatly enjoyed the increased volume of British humour comic content.

Skim-read while brain was in 2000s vBulletin forum mode and thought this said Raven has been introducing you by saying she REALLY likes your avatar. Which would maybe make sense too.. but yours does make MORE sense

I suspect she will be a shoo-in! 😁

Very sorry to hear of your loss. Lovely that you have that video.

I’m with you. I still collect a lot of discs but the excitement is not the same when you know you could just watch the thing online immediately. I just found my Amazon US order confirmation for Gigantic from 2004, ha. Fourteen year old me would’ve had a long October waiting for the delivery..

Such a fun documentary. And the DVD was so packed with extras it felt like it took all day to get through everything.

Thank you so much for continuing to compile and share! So useful!

So sorry, all the best for what comes next.

It is a little odd, isn’t it? I’ve been wondering whether it’s an internal decision or the rights packages are legitimately different for each channel. Neither seems particular logical, really, but here we are..

I think one factor with both of these is that they were big internationally, which in the streaming era is probably even more meaningful than it once was. Both were major hits in the UK and mainland Europe (France especially for Malcolm). They are both widely known here, vs a Reba or Blossom

Unfortunately, I am almost certain this is a bootleg. Walmart and Amazon have gotten far far worse at allowing “marketplace” sellers to list illegitimate product. That particular seller is listing a bunch of other titles that have not yet had genuine disc releases (Squid Game, Masters of the Air)

Seems nuts, but it’s hard to see another through-line in those, isn’t it? I didn’t see any of the night itself so can’t confirm but seems almost certain. I appreciate they’re putting in at least a token effort with the theme nights, feels like Sky 25 yrs ago albeit with less Rich Hall/Phill Jupitus
