If you've ever seen a yellow "woolly bear" caterpillar, here's the moth it becomes - the Virginian tiger moth (Spilosoma virginica). We usually see three life cycles of this moth in Kentucky each year, with the third overwintering as pupae. #backyardnature #entomology
