Federal shutdown: Latest on which Bay Area national parks are open and closed

Muir Woods and many other National Park Service sites in the Bay Area are closed due to the government shutdown that began Tuesday night.

Muir Woods: Closed.
Muir Beach: Parking lot closed. Restrooms open.
Tennessee Valley: Open.

The NPS did not post specific updates about any closures at Point Reyes National Seashore in Marin County."

Lots of people asking about the smoke, orange skies and air quality in West Marin today. It’s from some big wildfires in SW Oregon. Apparently the south wind we’re seeing is causing an eddy that’s pulling smoke down from the north.
