✨Ever wondered what migration looks like at night? 🌌
We often sit under the stars with our @PulsarWild thermal camera, coffee in hand ☕, watching flocks glide silently overhead.
You hear one redwing, but in thermal, you see ten. Absolutely magical. 🐦‍⬛🫶

🐦💨 This tiny Blue Tit just blew our minds!
Caught at @soultonhall 28/09/25 wearing a ring… turns out it was originally ringed 120km away in Penallt, Monmouthshire 19/11/23.
That’s an epic journey for this species! 💙✨

✨ Barn owls are truly magical creatures. Last night at @SoultonHall we had the privilege of ringing two of them 🦉 with the help of thermal to monitor our nets, helping us learn more about the incredible wildlife thriving across this beautiful estate. 🌿💫

📊 Bird ringing helps answer BIG questions:
✨ Where do our garden birds migrate?
✨ How long do they live?
✨ How can we protect them from habitat loss?
Every ring tells a story and every story guides conservation. 🌍💚

🔔 Ever wondered what bird ringing is all about?

Most of the birds are calm, it’s about being confident whilst handling. If you’re calm, so are they.

🌿 Another fantastic morning @SoultonHall !
We ringed 52 new birds 🐦✨
Highlights included:
🔸 3 Stonechat
🔸 9 Chiffchaff
🔸 2 Meadow Pipit
plus many more!
Each tiny ring helps us unlock the secrets of migration & survival. 💚 #BirdConservation

Stonechats are on the move! 🚶‍♂️🐦 This time of year they wander far from breeding grounds and might pop up anywhere. Keep an eye out for a black leg ring with white engraving, you might spot one of ours! 👀 #Birds #Stonechat #Wildlife

✨ Barn Owls are just magical!
Last night on Packington Estates, Solihull we re-caught a ringed bird, turns out it was one we’d ringed as a chick just 2km away @LaneMarsh in 2023. 💫 Wonderful to see it thriving and staying local! 🦉💛 #BarnOwl

Deployed the @ZEISSBirding trail cam to monitor mink… but of course, someone had to steal the spotlight with a cheeky photobomb! 📸🦉 #TrailCam

Keep your eyes peeled for our colour ringed Stonechat in the midlands, we ringed a further 8 yesterday on Bredon Hill @OverburyEnt @No1FarmerJake. Each ring is black with 2 white letters #worcsbirds #birdringing

Fantastic news! A Nightjar was ringed at @LaneMarsh last night, just a stone’s throw from Birmingham Airport ✈️. That makes 6 in 4 years, all juveniles, highlighting a clear migration route for these elusive birds 🌙🪶. #Nightjar #BirdMigration

Project Nightjar update: using thermal imaging tech to monitor these iconic birds, we’ve ringed another adult female & 2 juveniles in Staffordshire. 2025 is looking like a strong breeding season for nightjars here in Staffs! 🌙🪶 #Nightjar @pulsarvisionukroi.bsky.social @tj-focus.bsky.social
