Two posts on Bluesky from Dae Obassanjo (@carnage4life.bsky.social) that state: A friend of mine is a fan of the French Revolution and it's been fascinating learning that its original leaders kept raising the bar on purity and dedication to the cause until they all ended up being guillotined as well. It makes the modern left make a lot more sense. It's a leftist pattern. I've often wondered why online leftists end up angrily yelling at people who agree with 95% of their ideas, only to learn that in the 1790s, French leftists were decapitating people who agreed with 95% of ideas. So this is progress I guess.

If you got "exposed" but didn't get sick it doesn't mean you're naturally immune. If you did get sick, still applies longterm. See also: flu.

I've long wanted ranked choice voting but this just... feels like we're doing it wrong, Portland.

The plinth that long held a statue of Harvey Scott remains bare to this day, many years since it was toppled during 2020. A bust of York, the only Black member of the Lewis and Clark expedition, took its place but it was torn down by unknown vandals (likely Patriot Front) not long after.

Near the summit of Mt. Tabor, within Portland Oregon on 20th Oct 2024 a bit before noon, the blue sunny skies had replaced the crummy wet grey of the morning.
