Man LA has so many good Japanese players! Do you think it helps though that they’re on the west coast (closer to home)? I mean probably money and winning speaks louder than location but I think it probably might be a littler factor.

We actually went to LA in Sept for a little vacation and while we were there the Giants happened to be in town so we bought tickets and Yamamoto happened to be the starting pitcher. Tbh I didn’t even know who he was! But we have not been following baseball as much lately

Thank you 😊

Dude those are awesome! I especially love that seductive ladybot on the Robots of Dawn 😆 I sort of remember the plot point. I never read that 4th one though: Robots and Empire.

I’ve been putting off buying ink…

How does the knock out box work?
May 11, 2025 at 5:02 PM
Look man, this ain’t no Veritas saw I have. Just some brand I’ve never heard of on Amazon. For all I know the company that made it just copied some other brand’s saw or maybe just made the saw based on a picture of a flush cut saw. Anyway, I tried bending the teeth. Didn’t work. Tape will have to do

I want to believe you are right about this. But this particular one I have is not like that. I don’t think my other one (which lives permanently behind the counter in my shop where I can’t reach) was like that either. I think it had zero set and sucked at cutting but at least didn’t scratch

No way. Ok lemme check

Well, or you could just buy drill bits with a countersink collar.
April 26, 2025 at 11:08 PM
I used a drill press for the pilot holes on the braces then extended them into the walnut with a hand drill. The countersinks were impossible to drill at much of an angle

Btw, I’m following plans. Thought you should know, none of this came from my mind 😆 youtu.be/btPGtq0hYTE?...

Only like 1/16th. It worked perfectly. The very slightly tapered end of the dowel allows it to wedge in. The dowels are poplar, so I’ll bet they deformed a bit but they’re locked in good. Plus there’s glue.
April 26, 2025 at 4:03 PM
Ah gotcha. I definitely plan on using dowels in mortises in the future again. I love the look, they feel good hammering in, and like I mentioned they also provide some function 😀
April 26, 2025 at 2:12 PM
I thought about trying to hammer them flat. I just figured it wouldn’t be that malleable. I’ll give it a try
April 26, 2025 at 2:06 PM
I think your other question is asking about the diagonal pieces? It just makes it more rigid. But maybe that’s not needed once you put the table top on. Idk but it looks good having those light accent pieces 😆
April 26, 2025 at 2:05 PM
I used glue but before glue was invented I guess this method was enough.
April 26, 2025 at 2:02 PM
Legs are not removable. They are dowels - not hiding any screws. They are called drawbore mortise and tenons: the holes on the mortise are slightly offset with the holes on the tenon and the dowels are tapered on the end you can’t see. The idea is that when you hammer them in it make a tight fit
April 26, 2025 at 2:00 PM
Idk man I don’t really see woodworking equipment. I don’t know what the long table is for. It has raise edges. And weird handle doohickies 🤷‍♂️
April 26, 2025 at 1:55 PM
Why thank you. Hammering in those dowels was one of the most pleasurable things I’ve done as a woodworker.
