Destroying $500M worth of covid tests in the national stockpile would be a terrible waste of resources. They are an insurance policy against a resurgent new variant - of course we all hope that kind of variant doesn't occur, but why destroy tests that would be invaluable in that scenario. 1/x

Yes.
KFF has spent years researching consumer experiences with health insurance, the problems they face, and the complexity that frustrates them. We should have a conversation about how to make care more accessible and affordable and balance trade-offs. But, is right now the appropriate time for that?
