Four teams was definitely not enough but they incredibly overshot by jumping to 12. Eight would’ve been best in my mind. Get the 4 or 5 highest ranked Conference champs, fill out the rest with at large bids.
And, in my opinion, the National Championship should always be played AT the Rose Bowl.
