There appears to be a relationship between people who are grifters and people who appeal to racists. And I can only assume that if you are not skilled or successful and crave power the shortest route to it is to be a racist political figure.

It's hard to know to what degree David Duke would have used the power of the state to torture, kill, or imprison anyone not white. Bc he never had that power.

I enjoyed Rogue One the most of all the new entries in the cannon. I probably should watch it again tho. Because I saw it after the disappointing The Force Awakens, and I think I was bracing for something awful. It came as a pleasant surprise.
