I live up the hill, and won't spend $ in HB. It's a scary place for sure. HB/NB was always racist, at least when I lived there in the late 70's/80's.

If you get a work visa, but if you don't it's tough. I'm married to a Dutchman and could not get citizenship. I suggest you do lots of homework now, it took me 2 years to get Irish citizenship by decent (Legacy through grandparents) and was expensive and laborious. Mexico?

Me too, many yrs ago... The Guardian is a good and no paywall, but I buy a subscription to keep them in biz.

It's ambitious, but go for it. You can always frag it and start over. I suggest putting in rescue cord, it will make it easier as you proceed. 👍
