I said I understand why a politician would do it, specifically when base is divided. One has to represent whole base. I just go with people who harms me the leas. And Dems have never hurt me.

And for people like me Democrats are the only way for waking freely in streets. You don’t have to carry papers, I do. I have an accent too. That’s why some of us are not going to criticize the party that makes our lives far easier to live.

And for people like me, fear of being rounded up by ICE is very real. I didn’t have this fear under Obama or Biden. That’s why I am not going to out of the way to criticize the party. I get annoyed by leftist being over critical of Democrats. People like you don’t face the consequences, we do.

Trump has more homogeneous base, it’s easier for Republicans to win. Whites and Christians are still the majority. He won on the backs of these voters. You think leftist policies can overcome these forces easily? Trump win in 2024 because he won more Christians than 2020.

I just worry about slippery slope of government deciding wages based on what group you belong to. If such a legislation passes, I have no problems with it.

He has already signed many protections for trans people, if we keep shitting on potential allies, I fear we will make our journey longer. That’s my worry, you can disagree with that. Persuasion works more than scolding.

I am just telling you the reason why Newsom is doing what he is doing. Do I approve of it, no. Politics and activism is different.
