When's BBC news gonna report on the Nazi salutes I wonder? 🤔

Moreso than ever local newspaper comments show people getting so close to understanding the ill effects of unchecked capitalism "was always much bigger and cheaper when I was a kid, everywhere is like this now".
Hmm. What could the common factor here be....

There should be a legitimate emphasis on charities moving to target the ultra rich for supporting those in need. Asking your average person to foot the bill for the hole left from corporate greed is just insane. We shouldn't, as a society, be seeing this as Ok.

Unrelated to my previous, but can anyone recommend any UK artists who are making inspiring prints I can buy?

I need someone to chat to about Jet Lag the game.
That's it. That's the content of my post.

@npcollapse.bsky.social Idk if you're actually on this platform but if you are; have you got any idea where a safety engineer with a knowledge of X risk and AI can actually help impact AI safety. Every org I've spoken to to date treats this as interesting comp-sci and it's driving me mad.

@jimrobbins.bsky.social hadn't realised you were on here - chuffed to have a platform I can follow on again.
Curious to know if you've come across this video? A genuinely great glimpse into the potential of this town and an absolute eye opener as to some of its hidden beauty youtu.be/RAuxlYszIf4?...

I'm ready to really give this a go; I'm sure everyone is asking this but where do I go to get the insightful/nerdy/news tweets (points for finding the centre point of that Venn diagram

@nygbcpod.bsky.social hearing chadtrads, tradcaths and radtrads so many times in this episode made me eventually hear it only in the style of the Simpsons "BiMonSciFiCon" - leading to what would be the worst convention to attend ever.

@nygbcpod.bsky.social just listened to your latest episode and you gotta help me understand how the mental gymnastics between "free speech" and "capitalist private platform, we can do whatever the fuck we want" is traversed by these nutjobs. Their complaining is breaking my brain 😭

Breakthroughs in material science aside, my cat has just woke up from a 4 hour nap and has just fallen back to sleep as a result of being so tired.... Presumably from napping.
It's hard being a science cat.

Proposing a comedy spy-vs-spy movie starring Pedro Pascal and Nathan Fillion. Idk what happens in it yet but I'm sure it'll be brilliant.

Are there any credible news sources on this platform?
July 12, 2023 at 9:13 PM
Twitter deleted. Guess I'm committed to this platform now!

Noone signed up for my new series "drama in a posh bar" and yet here we are. This time, a thread;

It wasn't until face mask wearing was just sensible rather than essential that I realised just how gross public spaces can be. I'm not a germophobe but man a 6hr trip on a train showed me the worst humanity has to offer.

https://emoj.li/ was potentially the only credible social media platform that ever existed.
Your view was worthless unless it could be articulated by emoji. Simpler times.

Positively reframing my 6 hour train journey today into having one of the best office views of the ever-changing UK countryside.

One upside of changes to the Reddit API, Twitter being so toxic and Bluesky not having a while bunch of users is that my consumption of social media has decreased exponentially in the past week.
July 10, 2023 at 8:41 AM
Not sure what the future of this platform looks like but the history of cyber security issues has taught me that if you can take a high-value handle you probably shouldn't lest you get sim-swapped. If *could* be solved on this decentralised platform but frankly I didn't want to risk it.

I've carried out a whole bunch of safety investigations over the years but I don't think I've ever attributed something to "dangerous geometry".
Colour me intrigued 🤔
