had massive anxiety that Something Bad Would Happen, managed a big fear as much as i could, then like two days later did okay with being in a really upsetting situation that brought up really old memories and hurt. unfortunately i have ruminated on it like picking at a wound until feeling sick.

EXACTLY THIS! When you make a phone call about an issue, they write it down, they look at the numbers. If conservatives can pressure politicians to make changes: SO CAN WE! Be brave, do your calls. It gets so much easier after the first few and you will feel more confident too!
i went to congress.gov/members put in my zip and called all my reps and senators. even ted fucking cruz. it was painless. it makes a difference. they HAVE to pass the message along.
