Very funny! But I don't think I'm smart enough to fully understand the Jesus couldn't exist if atheism is true/Pontius Pilate seeks forgiveness elements of the book. But the cat and the devil scenes are terrifically entertaining.

America is a boat filled with con men and suckers. The con men pray on the "faith" of the grifted. The Confidence Man in the story is an ever evolving grifter. Reading the book, I thought: "Wow. The Confidence Man shape shifted himself into the White House!"

Just finished The Confidence Man by Herman Melville. It's astonishing. It perfectly predicts America in 2025. I loved it.
