Watched tonight! A few days late for Silent Movie Day. Your score is terrific and I enjoyed the movie.

Very funny! But I don't think I'm smart enough to fully understand the Jesus couldn't exist if atheism is true/Pontius Pilate seeks forgiveness elements of the book. But the cat and the devil scenes are terrifically entertaining.

I read the first 50 pages and loved it. Saw One Battle After Another today and I'm want more Pynchon!

I have also never seen the Sissi films. They were on the Criterion Channel a while ago and I passed them up (but did see a lot of other Schneider).

Reading this for the first time. With a group. 50 pages at a time. Talk about it. Take a break. Read next 50 pages. Slow walk through Thomas Pynchon' Gravity's Rainbow.

I live in California. The No on 50 commercials outnumber the Yes by about 4 to one. Relieved the commercials aren't working

America is a boat filled with con men and suckers. The con men pray on the "faith" of the grifted. The Confidence Man in the story is an ever evolving grifter. Reading the book, I thought: "Wow. The Confidence Man shape shifted himself into the White House!"

I'm uneducated about Gold Key. I love what you post. Do you need a lot of money to collect them? Are they pricey on the open market?

I work in a high school in a red county. The teachers cannot discuss anything going on in the world with their students.

Casque D'Or is also one of my favorites

Sometimes I'll pick up a random pulp paperback and read it just because my soul needs to read pulp (easy page turner). This week I'm reading Rogue Powers by Roger Macbride Allen, which I'm guessing is pretty much forgotten.

I'm crazy about this movie. I saw it when it came out in Los Angeles and the audience were movie industry people. Half of them walked out. But I loved it.

I just read The Confidence Man and decided to reread On The Road as an addendum

Just finished The Confidence Man by Herman Melville. It's astonishing. It perfectly predicts America in 2025. I loved it.
