We'd be 3rd today if we'd beaten Everton. Encouraged that we're figuring out ways to beat teams that we've recently struggled against like Palace today and Brighton a few weeks ago. Hadn't beaten Palace since 2023. Hopefully we pick up a few more points now against West Ham, Wolves and Bournemouth.

Rusty starts, but he's grown in confidence since his brilliant goal. Would love him to kick on now

I've no clue. So hard to call before the game. This team though you can get a strong sense within the first few minutes if we're about to have a shit day or not. Hopefully we come out fast. Think Mount has to start and I'd prob put Amad wing back, Mbeumo the other 10 and put Zirkzee up front

Yeah think it eventually does come back. Mine was weird, things tasted vaguely metallic and different to how they should taste but that's lessening now. Hope it's back by Christmas!!

What's your prediction for today? Palace away, I'm not too hopeful based on that Everton performance last week.

Good to know! Did it come back fully? I think some people can lose it as a part of their initial dose of Covid and then it returns while others, like myself, have a longer time of it. I've been doing smell training and eating mindfully etc as they recommend that to retrain your olfactory nerves.

Oh, it's 100% real. And it's very annoying. Did your Mum's come back yet?

For about 2 weeks, mine was just gone completely, but I'm slowly recovering it. I'm kind of wondering whereabouts in that recovery timeline I am, as it's almost 7 months now.

Tony Gilroy's writing and direction are just fantastic. The cast is truly stacked and all on form. Clooney's performance is one of those movie star performances where he doesn't have to or need to do too much to be watchable. Reminds me a bit of Paul Newman in The Verdict, similar lawyer characters

100% this! If "treatment" amounts to behaviour modification that just increases the pain the autistic person is in then that ain't treatment.

But that's my view off the top of my head. I think all ASD people "treat" themselves and self sooth etc so having something to help isn’t negative in itself, it's the intention behind claims of seeking a "cure" that are suspect.

OG post whether by allistic or ASD folks that ASD people perform better in certain metrics (pattern recognition famously) and are therefore hyper capable. Which just amounts to an attempt to try and fit ASD people into a productivity model in my view. I haven't looked into the research you mention

I would agree that claims of finding a cure in the RFK Jr. style, are offensive to ASD folks merely because the experience of being ASD is such a core part of identity and any stated claim to "cure" someone amounts to cure them of being themselves. But I'd push back also on claims like the one in my
