They have each other's backs. They push each other forward. Their admiration, respect, and care for each other is written in every glance and interaction. They're in love, and all signs say they'll stay that way forever.

They're beautiful.

They're solid and caring friends. When they disagree, they fight fair and they fight to learn and grow. And they are SO into each other!

Each claims they first pursued the other (Shimena's claim has the backing of family tradition that the gal chases the guy until he catches her), and given the affectionate ways they treat each other, I'm inclined to believe both.

They're a beautiful couple. They started out as coworkers and became friends, then even trusted friends. That was there before anything, but the dazzle came on as they were about to part ways as coworkers. They went on a date. They fell in love.

But I wasn't quite satisfied with what I said. It was sweet enough and covered all the needed points, but it put me in even more of a mind to try and see them as they are. Here's the best I can do so far:

Yesterday, Beth and I were called upon to offer a toast to the bride and groom, Shimena and Lenny, and we did well enough for people who'd not really prepared.

I've noticed that sometimes I can be prescriptivist and descriptivist in the same breath. For example, I love verbing nouns, but I hate the use of "impact" as a verb.

I'm a little behind the news cycle on this, but as an AuDHD guy, Musk gets zero slack from me about his Nazi salute. He knows exactly what he did, he meant it, and his lack of apology or regret proves it. If it was an autistic gaffe, he'd be apologizing forever. He's just edgelording.
