I think it should be a time of mourning and not rage or political posturing.
It's a tragedy that a person would decide to take the lives of multiple innocent people. And I genuinely wish the families of the victims my best.

Though I get that a lot of the reason why is because of my need to be "protected" by someone strong, along with my need to fix someone who has been hurt.
It's a bit of projecting my own trauma onto a relationship and it took a lot of time to realize that.

Even then, I'm demisexual so my attraction has always been less about appearance, more about who the person is.

As a bisexual, I disagree.
Older men and women are both attractive to me in different ways. It very much depends on how well they take care of themselves.
I would gladly take a 40 year old man who wears sunscreen, doesn't smoke or drink over a 40 something drinking, smoking, sunbathing lady.
