TL;DR paper towel math isn't consistent and most likely based on a bs paper towel that is barely sold, at least for bounty.

Also fyi other companies don't make it any easier 😭 and toilet paper is even worse...

Lastly, at the start of all this I found this chart and expected to find it useful. Literally only 1 of the non-integer multipliers showed up this whole time, and triple and MEGA aren't even included. All of this is just made to be confusing.

However, bounty doesn't want to outright lie about what the "single" roll is, so they technically have a single unit that has probably never seen more than 10 sales; general speculation found right again. What's interesting is that bounty's single-unit size differs between product lines though.(…)

Triple based on 1.87sq m
Double goes from 1.85 to 2.275sq m
6=8 goes from 2.25 to 2.55sq m (2.55 ex in next post)
Notably, all of these type's single unit are less than or equal to their essentials counterpart's single unit.

I've figured that these two barely touched listings are the lower end basis for the rest of the paper towel math. For essentials:

Triple based on 2.23sq m (13.4m sq / 6)
Double based on 2.55sq m (61.2m sq / 24)
Different listings of 6=8 go from 2.55 to 2.925sq m

That's when I stumbled across another listing on the defunct site: an undescribed essentials ("select-a-size" describes the perforations). This one has the product description of 2.2sq m, and again no other (reliable) relisting of this exact one except it saying no sellers on their current site.

This is especially weird because bounty specifies the single plus to be 3m sq. Why would they make a distinction like this for the main line, but not the essential? 1.5x of the single's 1.8m sq is 2.7 after all, and so this would make sense to say it is single plus.(…)

None of the reviews seem to be people who had actually owned this ellusive single sized normal bounty roll. But you know what else is weird? THE UNSPECIFIED ESSENTIAL. IS. NOT. SINGLE. SIZED.

The regular single is listed to be 1.8 square meters, but the unlabeled essential is 2.8(…)

But for their usual type of paper towels, I could not find a single sized roll in any retail store.

The only place that possibly sold it is this defunct bounty website listing, where no product is even shown on the main page and shipping is 9.99 bucks per roll.(…)

So for example, triple plus would be ≈3.5x (it fluctuates product to product). These are based on the single size, but here's where things get strange.
