It has rained for a few days. Finally stopped yesterday early morning and dried out a bit. The wind blew and the sun came out. Now I can get back to work outside and enjoy the Spring greenery.

Well it has been a busy week. Outside work on our property, work on others, mowing, hauling trash and debris, and medical appointments for the older folks. Been so busy I realized I haven’t posted! But it is finally raining here, albeit lightly. But it is expected to hold on all day😊

Howdy! It was another hot day and we drove into town and mowed and cleaned up six more yards. These were folks recommended by friends from the church who needed a little boost. Some very nice and grateful people who we eagerly accepted a glass of cold water from. It was all we would take today.

Well it reached 90* F (32.2 C) today on the Staked Plains after a freezing snow blizzard only 7 days ago. So my cousin and I hitched up the equipment trailer early this morning and drove in to town. We mowed and cleaned up 12 lawns belonging to our little old lady friends. All but one are widows.

It’s a beautiful day today. The sun is out, wind is calm, and the snow has melted into moisture. It’s going to warm up this afternoon. Be good to get back outside and work after these past few days. That’s just spring on the Llano Estacado. Wild and wooly, never know what to expect 🤣.

Rough weather last couple days. High winds, sleet and cold misty rain. Turned into a slushy snow early this morning. Hard to deal with after having such nice sunny days earlier this week and last. Cats are anxious and want to go outside, but only have the porch around the front and back to wander.

Wind came up late afternoon yesterday and blew like a freight train. Dust and debris flying around. Finally stopped around 5am this morning. Cold front came in but little wind and sun was out. Kind of cool for working outside, so I cleaned up around the house, vacuumed and dusted. Laundry 🧺😂🤣

Today went and cleaned up a great-grandmothers yards and property. Trimmed bushes and cut back the ivy. Mowed, blowed, raked and hauled four barrels and two tarps of dead and trash to the dump. I know her daughter and it was a nice thing to do. Good exercise, I’m sore now 😂

Cold front blew in today. Cloudy, did not warm up until this afternoon. Raked up some leaves and trash that blew in under the cedars last night. Hauled that and all that I had previously piled up to the burn pit. Dumped it all in. Took about three hours. That was enough. Just relaxing tonight🌝

Cut down a large dead tree on my neighbor’s property. Cut it up into firewood and a large brush pile. Stacked the logs and piled the brush and sticks. Good days work. His son will come later with his trailer and pick up the firewood. His wife baked me an apple pie. What a treat! She’s a great baker.

Outdoors in the sun and fresh air today. Cleaning up around the place. It’s a beautiful day with a cooling breeze. A good day to cut back brush and bushes. Hope ya’lls day is as nice as mine🌞
