Majoring and working in Wind energy meteorology (Atmospheric boundary layer meteorology and Fluid dynamics) in Japan.
Simulation and analitic tools : WRF, Python, R, bash, RIAM COMPACT(LES based on CFD), MPAS
In wind power projects, the atmospheric stability is generally assumed to be neutral. In this study, we showed using long-term obs data that atmospheric stability is non-uniform at the height scale relevant to wind power generation. #windpower #meteorology

Comparison of Atmospheric Stability at Wind Observation Tower Height and Hub/Rotor Height Using 200 m Meteorological Observation Tower Data
In computational fluid dynamics (CFD) models, it is generally assumed that the atmospheric stability is constant throughout the entire domain. Furthermore, CFD models perform simulations for each win...

Our research got accepted as a poster at Torque 2026 (Bruges, Belgium).
The reviewers’ comments gave me extra motivation to make it even better!
This will be my first international conference as a presenter, and I’m really looking forward to meeting other researchers and exchanging ideas there!

When executing FastEddy on the current AWS ParallelCluster according to the manual on the NCAR site, the GLIBC version becomes an issue. To avoid this problem, you can either wait for an update to AWS ParallelCluster or create an alternative execution script.

I succeeded in building the MPAS-GPU. I try to couple it with the micro-scale model.

I will used WRF-LES and MPAS on my work for first time in about 10 years. the MPAS suit for simulation of peticulary tropical cyclone after quick look. Is this true?
