This is 100% an US oil coup, however Maduro was to Chavez what Vance is to Trump, an uncharismatic opportunist prepared to take over with force once a dying charismatic leader dies that actually was able to muster enough support to win more legitimate elections.

Just 2 wrongs on the people.

Just woke up at 10:50, realizing that Hawaii is still in 2025 !

My older laptop just got the upgrade, bought a new one recently though with ”AI” features and it feels nowadays you spend more time disabling those features than installing new programs.

”Recall” (the worst one putting passwords in the cloud)
”Co-Pilot”
”MS365 Co-Pilot” (as if one wasn’t enough!!)

.. go eff-it if they think they might cross the line, conversely someone stepping over the lines willfully is hard to point at without basic definitions.

And that’s a reasonable starting point (IP laws and history makes some of it fuzzy), but their page doesn’t state it so how people interpret it could probably differ a lot.

I think having it somewhat defined is important both in terms of buy-in and enforcement.

People who feel unsure might just..

Hence as a programmer I wonder if there is a certain red line definition better than ”genAI BAD, procGen GOOD” because code-wise advanced procGen is very close (mostly because genAI folks took the good ideas 🤷‍♂️).
December 25, 2025 at 7:05 PM
Yes and no, I’ve was first doing simple procedural generation over 25 years ago. I also wrote ”AI” chatbots 25 years ago (they only hallucinated but were fun toys).

The uncomfortable truth is that the most advanced proc gen people published about(like WFC) is fundamentally quite close to ”gen AI”

They would win not with firepower but with the ability to turn us against each other.

In the robot stories there is a story called ”Unintentional Victory” that has hostile different aliens from Jupiter, that story is not incompatible with the wider Foundation-verse.

There is pre-merge foundation that only has mutated mind altering/reading humans.

Post merge to robot series, there is an implication that due to the Universes size humanity will sooner or later encounter Aliens, but the danger poised there is if they have psionic abilities in excess of humanity.

We have a great depression, so great, nobody has seen a greater depression, so great that my advisors are dumbfounded as what to say, so great so great!

Is the horse cropped in the final Japanese boxart also? Looking at the logos in the screenshot and article it seems to be a difference between Japanese and global/US boxarts?

Wondering if it isn’t an improvement though? Angry people can leave an unspecified dislike instead of having to write something nasty?

Not too familiar with Dutch politics but saw an earlier mention of a liberal party becoming the largest and some ”christ/conservative” party (vvd?) losing all mandates.

Is a Tl;Dr; available or too complex?

It’s 100% vibe-engineering.

.. that I should get prime to watch the latter seasons of The Expanse.

They really don’t know much about how to run or market entertainment.
October 29, 2025 at 6:43 PM
Like, tons of game services run on AWS. They have Twitch. Had some forked game engine.

Yet, I didn’t even know that they were competing in the games space apart from perhaps some random press releases.

Heck, thinking about it I almost forgot about their media streaming despite sometimes thinking…

Regexps are great! Especially for lexing or _very_ simple structures, but if you’re doing _anything_ but basic structure then use a real parser (or use the regexps for tokenization).

That’s almost always the main fault, doing too complex stuff with them.

Super fine! Because *checks notes* hallucinating AI’s is extremely valuable for *checks notes* *crickets*…
