It's pretty clear reading replies on X (NOT recommended) that Trump supporters are fine with this because they're expecting less taxes in exchange. Or outright elimination. Once it's clear their taxes are not going down, then the needle can move.
The Tax Foundation estimates that the Trump tariffs could effectively be a tax of $830 a year on the average U.S. household.
