its not just a question of whether you like your gposes with genAI more than without. the point is that you inserting yourself amongst fellow creatives who HAVE worked for it is a completely tone-deaf expectation

all of these are skills that ppl in the community have studied, practiced, practiced, and practiced. they are rightfully proud of their work and love sharing it with like-minded ppl. if you used genAI and expect the community to welcome your work as if you did the same, thats not happening

i grew up with superhero comics and movies so it was sad to see them pitter into an endless drip feed of soulless bleh. james gunn gets it tho, he understands the silly camp, the larger-than-life wonder, and with just the right amount of quips to not overstay their welcome
