Anyone who is directly emailing federal employees probably understands the politics of the situation. It’s just illegal and tacky

Depending on people to stand up for what’s right (or legal) as a guardrail is a very terrible guardrail. It’s much easier to go along with it all and keep your head down.

With the current media landscape, I’d anticipate it will take a whole generation to pass. This is not a blip in history but a lengthy chapter.

Then take a controversial economic stance. Build the middle class and tax the 1%. Everyone is struggling and people inherently care more about themselves.

Then democrats lost 2024 as the touted soft-on-crime party and military now in cities.

Latinos wanted some immigration enforcement and that’s a reason they left the party. An absolutist slogan isn’t helpful.

But democrats do need a message to get behind since they’re completely missing one.

They do already live in a different reality, but why make it easy? What historical non-voter decides to vote over “ABOLISH ICE”? It’s more red meat for the party that turns off moderates (🤮) which the party unfortunately needs in general elections. How well did the “Defund the police” movement go?

We also shouldn’t affirm what they believe then either. Stupid people are an important demographic

Would you support getting rid of all border fences and border enforcement? Make it more like a state border?

Because “ABOLISH ICE” makes dumb people think the intent is to stop all immigration enforcement and they run with it. Marketing in politics matters more than anything else in today’s political system

There is a surprisingly large pro-shooting people crowd, or at least a very vocal one.

It’s as much a cultural problem as it is about funding. Education isn’t viewed to be as important here as it is abroad in many places. It’s increasingly viewed in a negative light in the US. Doesn’t bode well for the future.

That’s true. Many cultures actively promote the importance of education, so that’s a phenomenal thing. The future lies in other countries around the world.

That’s pretty bold to assume people read warning labels. They’ll be considered propaganda here soon.

Outside of a complete cultural shift towards improving education, American society is only going to become dumber. A runaway train in a country that is villainizing education.
