Thought you’d appreciate my recently purchased Elkin cover for The Magic Kingdom. Feels like it’s “Friday covers” worthy (which are always the highlight of my Friday Bluesky experience)

Fun book cover design for Elkin’s The Magic Kingdom in the mail the other day.

2025 has been one of the best reading years for me in a while.

My top 5 include (in no particular order):
—Mount Chicago by Adam Levin
—Darconville’s Cat by Alexander Theroux
—Life and Fate by Vasily Grossman
—Europe Central by William T. Vollmann
—Shadowbahn by Steve Erickson

Finished Europe Central by William Vollmann which led to a major literary hangover. Thankfully I’m starting up V by Thomas Pynchon for the first time before Shadow Ticket releases next week.

After finishing Steve Erickson’s Shadowbahn (phenomenal and prescient book), I eased into this behemoth last night. Fuck it, we ball with Vollmann.
