I feel like even if getting run through a mocha pot doesn’t ruin the vermouth (big if) cleaning out the bottom of the mocha pot where there’s absolutely gonna be burnt syrupy vermouth residue is gonna be awful. Maybe try cold infusing the coffee?

I just wanna comment here and give a recommendation for Jellyfin; I’ve been using it for the past couple of months and it’s been working wonderfully!

If you need any help lmk, I’ve recently set one up to handle my home media server, file backups, and mobile photo backups; it’s honestly so nice and really easy to setup and use

A NAS is perfect for that! You can go from something as cheap as a spare computer/rpi you have laying around all the way up to a dedicated prebuilt with a built in ssd for cache

You can build a NAS that is network accessible from both windows and Mac! Mac is able to access files via smb, so it’s actually really easy once you have the hardware

It’s honestly just so much nicer here; all I want is group chats and Twitter can finally go rot

Don’t worry it will come! As you learn new things, you can start to think of quick small projects for yourself. You can even learn a lot by using and modifying projects other people have created; I’ve learned a lot about docker, and Linux setting up a media server, and I didn’t write any code for it

Not only does it help you feel like you’re working towards something concrete, but it can also help you round out your knowledge in both actually writing code, but also in a lot of techniques and background stuff that may not be covered in a regular online course (setting up your dev env., git, etc)

This is less specific advice for which language and more advice for motivation, but I would recommend that no matter what language you choose I would recommend trying to create some sort of project for yourself to work on

I would agree with a lot of people here that python is a really great start. It can be applicable to a lot of different roles, and is easy enough to learn and use that it can help with a lot of the early difficulty with motivation to learn

The good thing with bash though is if you use basically any non-windows operating system it can be really useful for day to day tasks, which is a big motivator to continue learning imo
