Would you cross this bridge? It is a local tourism project. Pay a tiny bit, cross over, take a selfie. Now an entire micro enterprise with snack and drink bars nearby. The gap between "sustainable" tourism and actual benefits to community is often crossed by bridges like this #sustainabletourism

Sometimes those amazing sunrise photos at famous sites just don't match up to those influencers'. Was great experience exploring #borobudur complex in the morning fog and most people waiting at these selfie spots for a good photo. #wickedadventures #roadlesstravelled

Travel should be about the unexpected. I traveled to West Papua (Indonesia). Instead of lunch on the first day...I ended up in the middle of a customized street bike competition. In Indonesia this means hopped up 150cc bikes. What most people in the West would call a scooter. I did not compete 😐

Truth...having travelled often and far, I still find Indonesia to be the most fun, the most laughter of any country. That's why we are so proud to have tours there. To share the laughter.

There is a side to Bali that few visitors are even aware of. This is generally true in most locations. Don't just associate a place that has been labelled "overtouristed" with the giant hotels and buses full of people there for one day.
