The home supporters sat near me must have been watching a different game. You’d have thought they were Premier League up against a pub team. And Scott Wagstaff was his usual lovable self. Constantly in the ear of the ref before getting a yellow. You could bet your house on it.

Turns out there is no gap at all (based on this very small sample size). Tonbridge edged the cagey first half and just about deserved their 1-0 lead at the break. However Chatham outplayed them in every aspect in the second half and thoroughly deserved the 3-1 win.

At the FA Cup game between Tonbridge Angels and Chatham Town today. Notwithstanding the “magic of the cup”©️🤮 it will be interesting to see if there’s an obvious gap between the top end of our division and the NL South.

So, it’s looking like an unusual double for the club this season. Kent Senior Cup winners for the fourth time should be celebrated. But the likely relegation from the National League South obviously dominates feelings and dampens any celebrations.

Will probably post all sorts on here, but more on the club’s history and heritage will definitely be an area of focus. There isn’t enough out there yet and God only knows what the future holds. #wellingunited
