Currently UK based. Interested in all the usual vanilla stuff (books, history, board games, politics, the Beatles, 🇪🇺).
Mainly here to look at cool cathedral photos, but perpetually get sidetracked. Bonjedward.
Thanks.

I really wish you’d put a “graphic content” warning on those photos.
Not the ideal thing to stumble across first thing in the morning.

Agreed.
As an MP of the governing party, what will you be doing about it?

Party aside, she’s a great constituency MP so I’d be really torn.

I don’t have the architectural knowledge to pick apart the stories in that picture.
What’s the stonework at the top? At first glance it looked like a fireplace, but is it actually part of a tomb?
Is it covered in engraved text, or am I imagining that?

Was there any lore at the time around paw prints on tiles?
I’m wondering whether there just happened to be lots of stray dogs around, or was it considered good luck to include a tile “blessed” with paw prints or a child’s footprints in a building, so brickyards would do this deliberately?

Luckily their senior school is next to the primary, so we’ve already got the route down. The problem is that even the “safest” route is still risky. (Away from the man road, the side-streets are constricted with parked cars on both sides but used as a rat-run).
We’ll figure something out.

Safety.
My kids will soon transition to secondary school. We currently ride together to school with me on the road and them on the pavement.
They’re getting too big for that, but the frequency of close-passes and near-misses means I wouldn’t be comfortable letting them ride alone.
