Over the weekend my wife and I came to the (very concrete) conclusion that our Schnauzer simply does not like hanging out with other dogs. Which is unfortunate because we'd love for him to have fun and play with other pups if we're at the park, visiting friends, having family over, etc.

Damn, I thought this had been in development for longer than that... oof. Guaranteed to be the next vapourware game.
Last night's biggest surprise was Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic, led by Casey Hudson, who directed KOTOR (and Anthem). Exciting news for lots of people... but Lucasfilm says the studio was founded this year, which means that 2030 is an *optimistic* guess. Maybe it'll be a PlayStation 7 game

In the final stretch of Metroid Prime 4 and still enjoying it. It's currently sitting at an 81 on @opencritic.bsky.social and I think that's a fitting score for it. I'm definitely not in the "game is mediocre" crowd or anything but it's also not hitting the highs of the original Prime trilogy.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion is a fun faux-back style beat em up but man, it’s buggy. I don’t know if it’s because we were playing online using cross play but @mike.bataligin.com and I lost level progression two separate times in one sitting.

Decent chunk into Metroid Prime 4 and, unsurprisingly, liking it a lot. Giving this game a 3/5 is just silly.

Looking at Team Canada Olympic projections and noticed a crazy stat:
The Habs are 6th-worst in Goals Against and have a -8 goal differential (they're quite bad, essentially). Nick Suzuki is a +13. One of his own teammates is a -15. Like, he has to be on Team Canada.
Anyways, back to video games.

– Getting parts of the roof replaced after leaking
– Replacing winter tires after getting a flat
– Dog getting neutered + having a hernia removed
My wife and I just want to go on vacation gosh darn-it 😒

The first Hades is what I consider to be the pinnacle of the roguelike genre. And then Supergiant went ahead and made an even better one. So yeah, Hades II rules.

The first Hades is what I consider to be the pinnacle of the roguelike genre. And then Supergiant went ahead and made an even better one. So yeah, Hades II rules.

I finished the story in Pokémon Legends: Z-A last night and I might be in the minority considering what I've read online, but I really liked it! One of my favourite games of the year and likely a top 10 game for me.

My nephew has been playing a bunch of Astro Bot on my PS5 this weekend and it makes me so happy that he’s in love with it.

Now that I’m 20-ish hours into Pokémon Legends Z-A I’m convinced it has best battling of any Pokémon game so far. This is what I imagined the series would be when I was a kid. I don’t want the main series to go back to turn based battles.
Also: Mega Evolutions are the best battling gimmick.

Got some Nintendo bucks for my Birthday over the weekend and used them to buy Pokemon Legends Z-A. What a great game! The real time battling is so much better than the sluggish turn-based battles from the main series.
