In 2016, Tank Troopers released on 3DS eshop!
This game saw you take on various missions where you control a tank to achieve objectives.
I don't think I played much of this one, I think maybe because of how close it released to the Switch in Europe

In 2011, Nintendo Letter Box released on 3DS eshop!
This title let you draw notes and post pictures for your 3DS friends list to see which was pretty fun
I have no idea why we're using the NA Swapnote name in the app today or why there's no screenshot

In 1997, Yoshi's Story released on N64!
A 2D platformer where the Yoshi's aim to collect the Super Happy Fruit. It's a step down from Yoshi's Island but a decent game overall

On this day in 1990, Pilotwings released on SNES!
This game saw you try to earn a flight license by taking on various challenges in vehicles like a plane, or a jet pack or a parachute.
Really fun and unique game

Til Nintendo own part of a Japanese football club and have stuck some Pikmin on their strip

Trails Beyond the Horizon supports 120fps on Switch 2 according to the eshop description
Not sure if I can look into that more as the demo is only the Switch 1 version page 😅

In 2013, NES Remix released on Wii U eshop!
Does what it says on the tin - remixes NES games into WarioWare style challenges with stuff like playing through Donkey Kong as Link.
Genuinely one of the most fun ideas they've done for an eshop title and I wished they did SNES and Game Boy versions

In 2012, Hydroventure: Spin Cycle released on 3DS eshop!
A sequel to the WiiWare title, this game sees you navigate liquid through mazes and puzzles by tilting the 3DS. One of the eshop titles I put a bit more time into and a great one at that!

On this day in 1986, Kid Icarus released on NES!
The first Kid Icarus game saw Pit try and find the 3 Sacred Treasures to take down Medusa, with vertical platforming and dungeon like design being core to the title. One of the more fun early NES titles for me

In 1998, Pokémon Trading Card Game released on Game Boy!
This game took the real TCG and made a basic RPG out of it! Featuring the first 3 real life sets and a few unique promos, you made decks and competed against Gyms specialising in types to win packs and build better decks. I really love this

In 1998, Mario Party released on N64!
This was the debut of the multiplayer board game spin off where you win by collecting the most stars and winning minigames
This game was notorious for people spinning the control stick with their palms and destroying their hands!

On this day in 1998, F-1 World Grand Prix was released on N64!
An interesting one for me as this is the first title I don't have on my Nintendo published games list.
The EU box says published by Videosystem and so far Nintendo Today has only listed titles published by Nintendo in Japan that also

Insane that it's taken this long to break that stat
December 17, 2025 at 10:18 PM
Celtic just lost one of their games in hand which means we will be top of the table at Christmas for the first time since 1991!
December 17, 2025 at 9:56 PM
These are always fun to do
The only thing I don't really agree with here is the mood swings, most people think I'm one of the calmest people they've met 😅

In 2014, Nintendo Badge Arcade released on 3DS eshop!
This title saw you collect stickers via a claw machine that could then be used to decorate your folders on your 3DS Home Screen

On this day in 1999, Mario Party 2 released on N64!
After the blister issues the original caused from rotating the control stick quickly in minigames, a quick sequel was made that tweaked a lot of minigames and removed all the control stick ones.
New boards were made with each one being themed after

In 2009, Photo Dojo released on DSiWare!
My unfamiliarity with DSiWare games strikes again but this one looks like a fun beat 'em up where you create a character from photos you take with the DSi cameras
December 16, 2025 at 10:12 AM
On this day in 2004, Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat released on GameCube!
The first in house DK game after Rare had handled the series since the SNES, Jungle Beat is a 2D platformer that was controlled by using the DK bongos.
It's actually a pretty game even with those weird controls
December 16, 2025 at 10:12 AM
It's Nintendo Music Tuesday!
This week Super Mario Land has been added to the service!
A short Game Boy soundtrack but one housing a few classics with the Easton Kingdom BGM being a particular standout for me
December 16, 2025 at 10:08 AM
I sure love getting a task to capture an Alpha Pokémon and subsequently having zero Alpha Pokémon spawn during my time in Hyperspace
December 15, 2025 at 11:54 PM
On this day in 2016, Super Mario Run released on Mobile!
Mario's debut mobile title was a free to start auto run platformer that still gets events to this day.
I think I downloaded this but never played it as I was losing interest in Nintendo's mobile efforts by that point

In 2006, Pokémon Battle Revolution released on Wii!
This spin off returned to the battle focused roots of the Stadium games and didn't offer much else. All 493 Gen 4 Pokémon are compatible, though forms introduced in Platinum for Giratina, Shaymin, and Rotom are not available. What's cool is that

In 2001, Animal Crossing released on GameCube!
A port of the Japanese exclusive N64 game, this marked the worldwide debut of Animal Crossing! A life sim where your character moves to a new town fully inhabited by talking animals and Tom Nook is kind enough to give you a house and a job to pay off
