Love these photos. Reminds me of the shearing shed at Mungo. Walking through there you can feel the history and hard, sweaty, back-breaking work that happened there.

Wonderful photo. My confession is that I can still get the Grey Teal and Female Chestnut Teal confused after years of birding.

Our local birds are incredibly vocal in anticipation. I'm currently hearing Rufous Whistlers, Grey Fantails, Spotted and Striated Pardalotes, Magpie-Larks, Little Ravens amongst others that I can't quite ID. I love our home's soundtrack. One raven did start a 4 month terror campaign 12 months ago.

Vile and disgusting doesn't cover it. We're not evolving as a species, sadly. Sorry that you had to cop such rubbish.

I wonder if he/the Bad Seeds play any of these songs live anymore. Have great memories of when they did.

I noticed you called it ‘parm’. Major fights can break out in Australia depending on whether you call them Parma or Parmi. :)

Hi. I'm curious about the feather on the left. Looks like a feather from one of our Tawny Frogmouths.

They’re one of our great songsters too!

The device isn't perfect, but I'm happy with mine overall. And I think that the AI will improve detections over time.

The biggest piece of advice I can give is to email Tim @ Birdweather - he has been very responsive and helpful for me.

I used to visit these birds in and around Banyule Flats a decade ago. Good to see that they're still around.
