Of course leading people to not think it was funny being met with “why can’t you take a joke”, which is a little too in the past for me. *personally* Jokes can still be mean and hurtful, because there is always a part of their truth in every joke they say. This one very clearly didn’t land.

I’m sure you did! The thing I said back to you was if you don’t follow this person or know their humor personally, it seems like a very ignorant and arrogant thing to say. Now looking at their profile, that’s all they do and say it’s satire. I get it, everyone has their style. This just didn’t land.

Can we make a starter pack that’s just for people who just want photos and videos still. I never had X because I’m visual, and now I hate meta, tik toks banned and I’m like where can I post my pretty food photos and videos anymore?! I hate it just being words people are so arrogant and angry.

It’s a written word vs visual presentation problem people will always have. TT was known for its attitude towards welcoming everyone, but the fact that so many young people were making so much money on it will piss off any 50+ person who wanted to be a novelist and isn’t.

I’m not even from Tik Tok but the arrogance here is strong. It always will be with older generations who are pissed they don’t teach cursive anymore in school. I actually commented on that post you mentioned and got a lashing because it was a “joke”. 🫠

You still have every right to say the “joke”, but it also still has the right to not land.

That’s the beautiful thing about social media, when you go viral people don’t know who you are and your personality so they get to read the words as they are. There are plenty of bad jokes out there, guess this was just one of those 🤷‍♀️

Oh and if it was a joke, they need to narrow their audience to 50+ year old out of touch mostly men I would assume: 🤷‍♀️ wrong crowd

Dude we all know that wasn’t meant to be a joke, it was meant to be a dig at people who used Tik Tok that this person *thought* was going to be funny. However, you can’t just say something was a joke after people don’t react well. That’s just sad.
