Again, this is what prevailing traffic means. If they're speeding and you suddenly decide to be a wall in the middle of the highway, you are the one being dangerous.

The main job of a driver: be predictable while operating a large kinetic missile. That doesn't mean be courteous, that doesn't mean slavishly follow a sign ignoring your surroundings, it doesn't mean stopping in the middle of a street because college students are waiting to jay walk.

The real fix here is, finda ways to have people drive less. Public infrastructure, work from home, 15 minute designs. Keeping people off the road will always be safer.

Depends entirely on how it's implemented. And that violates the principal of prevailing traffic, which is just that. Maintaining the prevailing traffic because not doing so is more dangerous. Not a problem if the highway is empty, very much a problem at rush hour.

Because some highways drop speeds from 65-45 and instead of people gracefully slowing down because a police office is sitting there with a speed gun an automated system with no knowledge of what's outside it just goes 'i need to be doing 45'.

So it'll take 20-30 years to make an impact as proposed and have the potential for causing plenty of accidents before that when people suddenly drop speed suddenly. The thing you aren't supposed to do at highway speeds.

There's calls for one on the regular. It's ALWAYS from the worst people you know. And you could maybe make an argument that a federal official language is necessary so laws can't be read differently per language but they're already in lawyer speak so.

my cars gps hasn't been updated since deployment in 2016. I can't even get updated maps, I've tried.

@discord.com I bought a nitro sub this weekend because it helped with some stuff goofing off with friends, bumped from a classic sub. I've now cancelled it, you will never get a dime from me again with this change.

There is no 'official' language in the US, primarily school is *typically* taught in English, and depending on funding you will see alternative options once you reach middle and highschool. Some schools do include Spanish as part of primary classes now, but that's relatively new (post 2000).

can also be experienced by visiting... like any city. any of them. And it's not just going to be Spanish, it's going to be Polish, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, a thousand Indian dialects, Yiddish, Arabic, and many many others. And that's fine, the world keeps turning.
