It is a very short step from invoking the Insurrection Act to declaring martial law. And from what happened today, it appears he has no intention to actually declare it, just go ahead and do it. God help us all.

I recently heard it's not going to take place this year. Frankly, even at that cost, it's still the cheapest rent in America. But I fear for those who live there out of necessity and not choice. For them, it could mean no safe place to live.
