When it walks over the hill too, you can see the forelimbs moving in a manner more similar to a bear than a pantherine, which really helps show how uniquely robust they are.

Yeah, our understanding of historic herd size and structure in white rhinos (a pretty good analog), is quite limited, but they do seem to have reached at least decent sizes. The more solitary black rhino is more widespread, that’s a likely contributing stereotype for rhinos as a whole.
