Your argument doesn't make any sense though. When you say yeah but... his next contract doesn't matter. He's here right now, and has chemistry with Ek and Boldy. Why break that up? You want to package him for a center, then you're breaking up that line. No sense in trading him.

BG better sign him to an extension, or he has to flip him next season. That's a lot to give up. All the talk of Buium being w/Faber for the next 12 years didn't even last a season. Still no idea why BG disliked Rossi so much. Kid did everything they asked of him.

It was pretty clear, as much as I like him, Ohgren was a bottom 6 player. Rossi - no matter what he did - was never going to be liked by Guerin for whatever reason.
I don't like this trade though. The Wild's center depth takes another hit.
