while that may be true he does still see remakes of as mostly improvements of their original games however he will also do remakes of his old lp's what I think is holding heart gold back is that johto's neither the first pokemon in release order or the one he played first

sorry I know xy doesn't fit the hints I just feel like his disinterest in following trends does NOT mean he'd avoid xy just because of za and in fact think that he'd be more likely to consider a game that he has increased awareness of then a remake (even if it would be for him easier to format)

note I'm not saying he'd put out an lp of xy just because of za I'm just saying that it could make him more likely to consider xy for a future lp (I also have no idea if xy would be as easy to power through preproduction of as kingdom hearts was even if he wanted to have it to have more relevance)

also even if za does make xy less likely as a choice for an upcoming lp if he was already thinking of doing xy the most za would do is push it slightly because we've seen him play recent games that are remakes if he was already thinking of LPing the game it's remaking with rescue team dx

also I doubt he'd actively avoid x and y just because of za it's not like his disinterest in following trends extends to actively avoiding them it's just that his lp's tend to older games which makes following trends harder (if anything za could make xy MORE likely to be an upcoming lp)

another thing to consider is heart gold is a remake of the second pokemon games (and lp's) so would he remake this lp without remaking fire red it's certainly possible but seems unlikely (my original reply was just pointing out the pacing problems depend on weather or not remakes are events or not)

if he's spacing those out the same way he's spacing out franchises it's not outside of the realm of possibility (if he's doing those more sparingly I don't know who'd have to look at the actual time between the earthbound and paper mario remakes instead of the amount of LPs)
