You can't ban system apps from a server. You can, and I have seen, people ban bots with an actual account, from a server. Anything that is an account and sends messages that aren't system messages, can be banned.

...yes, you can ban bots from servers, they are accounts like any other. The only difference is a verified bot isn't limited to a maximum number of servers

yeah but you can pre-emptively accounts before they even arrive in your server. That message does not confirm it was in your server before you banned it

because it was, it's not going to tell you the banning failed no matter how many times you ban an account, bot or otherwise
