Like it or not, Denmark stopped being homogeneous decades ago, and it will never be so again, and that is fundamentally a good thing, because it means the positive aspects of Danish culture can spread beyond to make the world a better place.

It must be learned that appreciation for the cultures that want to join with yours is the only way a society can successfully integrate. Show an interest, get to know where people are coming from, and find the points of commonality that help them to understand how to be a citizen here.

The fact is, that's how you ensure that most of them are going to leave within a couple of years of arriving: isolated, disenchanted, and with an awful impression of the country.

Danes as a society seem to think that people will integrate if you:
- Ignore them
- Exclude them from social events
- Use your only interaction with them to ask them when they're going to learn Danish
- Enact draconian integration policies that introduce discriminatory laws on them

Doubly ashamed that this has been inspired by Denmark's literal Nazi-inspired policies that they allowed a small faction of white supremacists force through their parliament.

Then their gov just... Carries on with the new status quo defined by the worst people in the country

Incredible that a party claiming to be centre left sees the left as the greatest opposition

Also not sorry to say, Mahmood is still a racist implementing racist policies

The only way out of this is to vote, every time you are allowed to.
Make it known that we are a part of this country, and a part that makes it better. That we do more for it than the racists and the bigots, and that our voices will not be ignored.

We contribute. We pay our taxes. We generate wealth in this country. We hold our tongues on the issues for fear of being called ungrateful and unwelcome. And we're thanked for this with the worst immigration and integration policies this side of the US & constant abuse by politicians & the media.

Let the right wingers know you won't stand for their abuse! Let the libertarians know privatisation generates inequality! Let the centrists know they're big fuckin idiots who'll capitulate to the right and doom us all to fascism!

If you don't vote when you can vote, the assumption will be that the politicians don't need to worry about keeping you happy!

And yes, we are disenfranchised for national elections, but we can at least make ourselves heard through our local politicians - vote, email them, berate them at meetings!
