So true. Canada has had a long standing ‘deal’ (nafta) renegotiated by trump no 1, that now seems to be worth less than the paper it’s printed on. With the US, I now think always get the money up front.

I read the book and saw the movie in high school. It was the first “truly adult” book read of my own choosing. I had read lots of others but they were following on from my parents eclectic tastes. I read this before they did. Harp is a character that stays with you.
