I don’t deny “you” is plural. Multiple Gazans (Hamas fighters) have hostages. He is in fact threatening to kill them. However the vast majority of Gazans are peaceful and not holding anyone hostage. He’s not threatening them. Ergo, he’s not threatening to kill ALL Gazans as was originally said.

You read the last sentence. He addresses it to the people of Gaza yes, all of them, but he threatens death to those who hold hostages. Thats not the same as threatening death to all Gazans as all Gazans do not hold hostages.

What motive would the richest man in the world have to overhaul a government that has largely contributed to his immense wealth? Is it pure altruism? Are we that naive Barron?

The “right” under Obama and then Biden, freaked and jumped from mainstream news to more radical biased news. I fear the “left” is on that same path under Trump. We’re better than that. NYT is not perfect and we should be getting news from a variety of sources, but I think they report in good faith.

I think it’s because there’s currently no confirmation if the email was actually intercepted by a foreign government or not. The not knowing may be even worse though in my opinion. How do you confidently utilise a spy who is “maybe” compromised?

Not quite intentional no but possibly the end result. Having read the NYT article it seems that the list was sent unsecured and was only “maybe” compromised. Which may be even worse… Are our spy’s safe or not? It’s anyone’s guess it seems.

I just wish there was more to do than fire off pithy “tweets” (or whatever BlueSky calls them) to the masses to get a dopamine pat on the back right now.

He has SCOTUS approved immunity and isn’t running for re-election. The man can literally do whatever he wants. Even changing hearts and minds won’t change that reality.

That would have worked BEFORE the election. Now I fear that if we ignore him we may bruise his ego but still allow seriously damaging legislation to pass with minimal public outcry. Given the reality of his power, right now is the time to pay the closest attention we have ever given him.
