All opinions his own & not of any employer
Luck of the draw is most likely answer but could be that the organisation was insufficiently sympathetic/thorough in considering the complaint. A lot of equalities law is built around it being more about the wrong ways to answer a question than there being answers which are always wrong

I had seen about his fire arms licence being revoked, but not that it was expressly out of concern for his wellbeing.

It does sound like William and Harry both share in not having been fully alerted to what comes with the job

The other question is do the markets see them as just another set of conservatives or do they impose a heavy lunatics premium on them. If it's the latter that could get really messy, really quickly given there's no market-acceptable veterans to quickly bring back a la Hunt/Sunak

They'd be grandfathered into current system
January 16, 2026 at 9:09 AM
Oh yeah I'm not saying it's a good idea, just what Farage had previously talked about
January 16, 2026 at 9:05 AM
Farage has talked of a French system where you just force people, so i don't think that applies.

And again, you could literally just grandfather people in based on age; i.e. at the start only those under 50 needs to take out insurance. That then increases over time.

And then once established it means healthcare is no longer a process of egalitarian rationing but one where the rich get better care because they've got better insurance. And that's a better field for the right to fight on
January 16, 2026 at 8:55 AM
Yes I get that. But the whole point is a social insurance scheme takes time to ramp up. You couldn't tell a 50 year old to start saving for their healthcare. So it's basically telling left-wing voters that they'll be paying more whilst protecting the right's elderly voter base

Every longstanding post-war Tory Government has successfully implemented significant reform of the NHS. And Labour is hardly spared criticism or backlash when it reforms the NHS in government.
January 16, 2026 at 8:50 AM
Nah it would because the already old would've to be grandfathered into the current system. So the only people affected would be workers, most whom don't vote for the right.

And this whole idea that only Labour can reform the health service because their trusted just isn't true, both ways round....
