Afgelopen jaar was de wereldwijde gemiddelde temperatuur 1,6 graden warmer dan voor het industriële tijdperk. Daarmee was 2024 direct het warmste jaar ooit gemeten, laat het jaarrapport van de Europese klimaatdienst Copernicus zien. Het is voor het eerst dat de grens van 1,5 graden in een kalenderjaar is overschreden.
