What are the current recommendations for online multilevel modeling tutorials?

Got multiple opinions here but one is about the ordering in the Methods section. I think it's generally in the wrong order: www.willemsleegers.com/blog/8-the-r...

Could anyone share some examples/references to instances where an original mediation analyses was later shown to be the result of confounding? I'm sure there are lots of theoretical examples, but would be nice to see some empirically demonstrated examples!

While writing you run npm dev and velite watch so that when you render a Quarto doc it automatically refreshes.

I use Quarto files in mine, but the actual website is built using Next.js, React, and velite: www.willemsleegers.com

I like Quarto and all, but the website functionality they offer is too restricting if you want full control.

Yup. I think it's very important to consider how the public looks at these kinds of studies. Researchers need to have a good explanation for why these studies are worth doing. Satisfying your curiosity is not one of them.

I can think of something obvious that makes liking kebab somewhat problematic!

Bem's Feeling the Future paper.

I think it's worth thinking about whether we already are sufficiently convinced the evidence from the literature is too weak and that instead of running a project on further establishing that there should be more future-oriented projects aimed at testing CDT instead.

Looks very interesting! I put it on my wish list for the holidays. ;)

Check out the commentaries to our paper, as well as our response! For those interested in cognitive dissonance, I think these make for an interesting read.

What is the status of Nisbett & Wilson's (1978) Telling More Than We Can Know paper? Are there any good replications/reviews? (I couldn't find any quickly).

🐶Now out in PHAIR 🐶

Does generalized prejudice extend across species lines?

I used data from the LISS panel & the European Values Study to test if people who devalue human outgroups also tend to devalue the welfare and interests of non-human animals.

I should be doing more to spread our paper around, although it's hard to find the time now that I'm not in academia anymore. Thankfully we did receive several Commentaries on the paper and we got to write a Reply, which will hopefully be published soon and maybe spark some debate!

The question is how fit would you have been without having two kids! I think the kids can also be blamed for tiredness when they're not around!

No hard feelings at all! I truly do appreciate the feedback and your (re)posts. =)
willemsleegers.bsky.social
I think this is kinda pedantic, though. It's far from the most important thing to focus on when reposting this finding. The feedback is appreciated but I'd rather see the first considerations to be about what the results mean for the dissonance literature (and psychological research in general).
