The opening scene of Taken 2 is a beautiful bit of storytelling. The funeral of all the people killed in the first film. Reminding us that no story ever ended with a shoot-out, but continued as trauma and loss. An eye for an eye makes the world go blind.
Then the rest of the movie happened.
