The idea of congestion charges bothers me. Taxpayers already pay for roads and infrastructure. This also could disincentivize tourism and downtown travel which impacts the local economy. Seems like a penalty for a place becoming popular. I think we need more creative solutions.

It's pretty telling how much resistance there is to this idea. Some of government is absolutely necessary. But most could probably agree it should be more efficient. And most of the federal bureaucracy works for the president. If bureaucrats resist legal directives from a pres, we have bigger issues
