A new analogy for the Democratic/Republican competition hit me today, please let me know if you agree.
Currently, our two-party system is framed in some sort of sports analogy. I don't think that it really captures the dynamic.

There was - and still is - so much pushback on green energy, an industry designed to save us. At the same time, AI that is hyped as a potential destroyer of humanity, steals our data, destroys jobs, undermines unions, uses child labor in the mines to get needed minerals. No pushback at all.

With AI destroying jobs, now might be a good time to talk about homelessness reform. With this dysfunctional Congress and this corrupt Supreme Court, I think it is safe to say that normal tactics are not up to the challenge. We need to think outside of the box.

I might be a little late with this post, but during the ICE raids, why hasn't any of the governors activated their state guard units to monitor federal agents? I know that sounds crazy, but there is precedent from as recent as 2015!

Frank Lasee says in his op-ed in The Hill dated 08/30/2025 that "the European Union's fixation on green policies ... undermine military preparedness." I respectfully disagree.
